JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Summary/Objective

Manages all sales, training, and customer relations as assigned, including all customers and other resources. Represents, sells, and supports products to achieve a successful customer base and increase profitable sales.


Essential Functions

  1. Establishes, builds, and supports customer base within industry.
  2. Trains and educates customers within industry.
  3. Works in the field with distributor sales reps conducting Puck demonstrations and presentations.
  4. Trains and educates through sales meetings, hands-on demonstrations and pump school.
  5. Makes sales calls with customers to establish market opportunity.
  6. Tracks and maintains all company used and issued demo equipment through online services.
  7. Follows up with customers and end users weekly to discuss new opportunities.
  8. Engages new customers and end users to strengthen industry network.
  9. Attends regional and national tradeshows and conferences to support industry network and promote Puck products.
  10. Advises dealers concerning sales and advertising techniques.
  11. Establishes sales goals and forecasts annually or as requested for review and approval of manager.
  12. Prepares sales vs goals and reports to manager weekly, or as requested.
  13. Communicates monthly, or as requested, with manager regarding agenda, goals, and expectations.
  14. Assists customers with 3rd party financing options.
  15. Complies with all company reporting and communication procedures.
  16. Provides feedback to management on product’s market position and any opportunities that exist on the market.

Supervisory Responsibility


This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.


Work Environment


This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  This role will also spend time traveling, on site at customer premises, and in field demonstrations.  Exposure to extreme heat and cold is possible, as well as exposure to adverse conditions related to field demonstrations

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


This role can vary from sedentary in nature to very physically demanding.  Employee may need to crouch, bend, stoop, pick up, and drag heavy items.  Items may exceed 50 pounds.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.  This position may require long hours and weekend work.




Travel


Travel can be expected to be frequent, and employee should expect to be on the road and away from home on a regular basis, including regular overnight travel.


Required Education and Experience


  1. Bachelor’s degree.
  2. 3-5+ years in sales or product support.
  3. 3-5+ years of industry experience and knowledge
  4. Equivalent combination of sales, education, an industry experience


Preferred Education and Experience


  1. Knowledge and familiarity with similar products.
